Your guide to getting the most out of our BETAPITCH Global & Investors Day
In August we told you that BETAPITCH was bigger and better than ever this year. You’re about to find out how serious we were. We’re proud to announce our program for October 15th. Here’s your guide to getting the most out of it!
For those who want to get their hands dirty: The Workshops.
Workshops run from 2:30 – 5:30pm in Dialog rooms 1 & 2.
Welcome to Startups 101. Whether you’re new to the game or think you know everything already, don’t miss these:
Olivia from BecomeWide will school you in pitching journalists without boring them, confusing them or getting yourself a one-way ticket to their trash folder, from 2:30 to 3:15pm.
If you missed the fireside chat with Elina of Holvi, be sure to catch her words of wisdom on building a brand from the ground up from 4:00 to 4:45pm.
Finally, Eleonora of Mind the Bridge will talk about how to start cooperation with corporates when you’re a startup, how to effectively communicate, how to prepare for meeting and much, much more. This will run from 4:45 to 5:30pm.
For those who want to learn: The Panels.
2:30-3:00pm, in the loft.
We start the afternoon with our first panel For those looking to the future: ‘Dealing With Big Investments”, featuring the likes of Rafael Kobylinski, Bastian Schmidtke, from Orderbird, and Martin Kaeble from Friendsurance and more.
3:30 – 4:00pm, in the loft.
The Panel on Digitalisation kicks off at half three, sporting betahaus CEO Maximilian Von Der Ahe and COO of Klockner.I Franziska Leonhardt as panelists. With such an experience behind them, it will be interesting to get an insight to their views on digitalisation. A topic affecting each and every one of us.
4:00-6:00pm, in the loft.
After a second Pitch flip, we head towards our last 2 Panels in the loft named “Investors from the block” and “AI Fully Automated Luxury”. Both have big lineups, featuring the likes of Dr. Paul von Bünau from idalab, Senior Editor of WIRED Germany Karsten Lemm, and Founder Berlin.ai Fred Eichelbaum. Don’t miss these.
Fintech is booming. But what does it take for a disruptive bank become part of our everyday lives? – why not swing by and ask her yourself?
For those wanting to know the ins and outs. Where do startups work from?
Alex from betahaus | Sofia, 3:00-3:30, in the Reception Area.
We’re all about startups and we know you are too. This is your chance to ask those daunting startup questions you normally don’t.
Pitch Flips run between 3:00 – 3:30pm & 4:00 – 4:30pm in the LOFT
Reversed pitch. Startups are the ones who normally pitch for investors, and we know that it can be pretty tiring. We didn’t like what was on the table, so we flipped the table. Now, investors and corporates pitch to startups and explain why they should go with them! The likes of WestTech Ventures, Lucey Fund, Blueyard, and TechCode are already confirmed.
SPEED DATING IN CARS
Dating runs from the Cafe, 2:00 – 6:00pm.
Exactly what it says on the tin. Our drivers take Startups and Investors for a ride around Kreuzberg, they get 10 minutes to pitch to one another in the privacy of our limousines. How very James Bond. The startups will be pitching to some of the most experienced businessmen and women around, such as Luise Gruner, Ralph Riecke, Jörg Reinboldt, and Andrea Hötzeldt.
BETAPITCH Global finale
The Global Finale runs from 6:00 – 10:00pm in the LOFT
Get to know the 9 hottest startups from emerging tech scenes in Europe, Africa and Asia. Jeremy Tai Abbett of Google, Joerg Rheinboldt of Axel Springer Plug’n’Play and Matt Webb of R/GA are some of the brilliant minds on our jury who’ll pick the winning Global startup for 2016. Can’t make it to the LOFT? Don’t worry, the finale will also be on live stream in the Cafe.
To round off the event, the finale moves to the Cafe where after some live music, the winners of BETAPITCH | Global will be presented with their hefty prize winnings! Then, we party on into the night.
That’s not all though, during the day we’ve also got a VR Zone, a startup open mic for pitching, more dating with investors, and even an ‘ask me anything’ area that’s specifically designed for new startups. With such a jam packed day, it’s not worth missing out on. Follow the link for the official BETAPITCH program and grab your ticket for the 15th here.
